5+ years' experience
A minimum of five years in the classroom before joining Daine College. They've already learned what works.
Masters of their subject
Beyond the teaching qualification, our teachers achieved strong academic results in the subject itself, throughout school and university. Many have also worked in the field they teach, bringing real experience into the classroom, not just theory.

Encouragement over intimidation
Every teacher is trained in encouragement-based teaching. Discipline exists but it's rooted in accountability and respect, never fear.
Trained to know each student
Every teacher completes specialised training in how individual students learn, so they understand how each child thinks, not just what they scored.
Spotting each child's learning style
In the first few weeks, teachers build a picture of how a student learns best: visually, verbally, hands-on or a mix, along with what motivates them and where their confidence tends to dip. Lessons are then paced and delivered to fit that child, not a generic average.
Trained across teaching styles
Teachers aren't limited to one method. They're trained to teach the same concept visually, verbally or hands-on and to switch between them for different students, even within the same lesson.
